Neil Watkin

Neil’s work is primarily digital art and photography. He works in a variety of different subject matter, from nature and landscape through to portraits and architecture. Whichever field suits his needs at a given time.

He takes his inspirations from both the past and present and is influenced by world mythology, as well as Pagan and other religious iconography.

Neil’s love of all things Gothic and mystical also feature in many of his ideas and works.

Since childhood Neil has been infatuated with Cornwall, her coastline, heritage and myths and legends. This lead to the ‘Bygone days’ artwork of the tin mining industry as well as artwork celebrating the fishing industry and coastline.

Neil is also looking to move in to more studio based projects taking influences from artist Jack Vettriano’s ‘Lovers and other strangers’ works with a gothic ‘twist’ to them.

Based in the Cheshire /Manchester area, Neil is always looking to collaborate on projects or simply photograph interesting people. If you would be interested in collaborating on a project Neil can be emailed at info@ravenart.co.uk

Neil is a member of Manchester Gothic Arts Group
www.mgag.org.uk and involved in the North West Goth scene through the regular monthly ARA club night.
